I have to be honest. A year ago, having a daily mindset rountine in place was not the norm for me. It wasn’t until mid-summer that I finally decided to the advice of so many of my collegues. Creating a daily mindset rountine helped me learn how to stay focused on the success of my business.
When it comes to adding a daily mindset system to your schedule, it seems the “norm” to add it to your morning schedule. Starting your day from a positive space will help you stay focused and even reduce anxiety. Once you have successfully add a morning routine to your schedule (and stuck to it), take the leap and add a bedtime routine to your schedule. I have found that reading, journaling and/or a sacred time for prayer – right before bed, gives me the best sleep. Most nights when I have skipped it, I have found myself tossing and turning.
Committing to a daily routine will be a game changHER for your life and your business.
When I committed to my first daily practice routine – it would last about 20-30 minutes. I committed to reading a chapter in a book, writing a gratitude list and prayer. As my days turned into weeks – my routine increased to about an hour. Now, as a full-time femalepreneur there are days when I can stay in my sacred space for up to two hours. I come out of my daily practice feeling refreshed, motivated and inspired.
I suggest that you start with 15-20 minute time commitment. Allow your time to increase naturally. Then when you are ready – add an evening routine to your schedule… and if you are ever feeling anxious throughout the day – stop… go into your quick practice to release your anxiety and center yourself.
When it comes to creating a daily practice you will find it common for most to set up a morning routine. Starting your day with a morning daily practice can help set your day up for success. Once you have successfully crafted your morning routine, then had a bedtime routine to your schedule. I have found that reading, journaling and/or a sacred time for prayer – right before bed, gives me the best sleep. Most nights when I have skipped it, I have found myself tossing and turning.

Reading. Now, I’m not talking about picking up the latest novel by Terri McMillian, I’m talking about conscious material that will increase your knowledge in your nicke, support your wealth consciousness or strengthen your relationship with your Higher Power.
Meditation. Meditation is not an easy practice for those with a busy mind. I found for me, it works best in the evening when I am winding down. It is the last thing I do as I am drifting off to sleep because simply put I cannot rest my mind without going to sleep – go figure. I know quite a few people who love to mediate. I strongly suggest giving it a try. There are some awesome tracks over on YouTube that can help.
Journaling. I was never one to keep a diary. Even as a teenager, I’d rather share my secrets with my friends than write them on paper. In my 30s, journaling makes everything feel good. I found that journeling is a great tool to recognize fear and negative thinking. I use the time to caputre ideas, release frustration, and express gratitude. Write whatever comes to mind. After you’re done – go back and create positive affirmations out of all of your fearful thoughts. Trust me – it works.
